Resumption of Danses-en-Trans workshops

Hello to you all.

Following the end of our dance workshops at the Théâtre de l’Œuvre (which we would like to thank very much for their support from May 2019 until December 2023), we are pleased to inform you that we have resumed our FREE dance workshops on 6 March 2024, as part of the Danses-en-Trans project at the CENTRE LGBTQIA+ in Marseille.

Presentation text:

Sensitive to the question of identity and diversity, Antonino and Fabio are opening up a dance space for trans, non-binary and gender identity questioning people. They are fighting for a space of inclusion. Fabio and Antonino are neither trans nor non-binary, but they want to join forces with the trans community through what they can share: a space for dance, care, discovery and freedom of expression (in private and on stage) with maximum respect for the singularities of each individual and the group.

Each workshop is divided into two parts:
  • A moment for getting together and meeting each others through movement exploration activities (no techniques or physical skills required, no search for “classic” beauty, open to all) ;
  • A moment for choreographic creation through individual and group creative activities. During this time, the choreographers share tools for shaping space and movement within a choreography.

“What’s important in this encounter is the movement between body and mind. The body in its intimate recognition, through its own gaze and that of the Other. The body in its permanent transition, the transformed body, the body as a social experience, a movement from the psyche to the body and from the body to the psyche. Movement as a message of freedom”.
