DAB – Dance Against Bullying is a transformative European initiative supported by the Erasmus+ programme.
Spanning from July 2019 to December 2021, this 30-month project harnessed the power of contemporary dance to address and combat bullying among young people.
By integrating non-formal education with expressive movement, DAB offers an innovative methodology that empowers youth to confront bullying, especially when words fall short.
Project Objectives
- Combat Bullying Behaviors: Address and reduce bullying among young individuals.
- Enhance Youth Worker Competencies: Equip youth workers with innovative tools and knowledge.
- Promote Dance as a Tool: Utilize dance to tackle bullying, supported by a comprehensive White Paper and video lessons.
- Foster Inclusion and Equity: Champion values of inclusion, non-discrimination, and equity.
- Advance Non-Formal Education: Encourage alternative educational methods.
Consortium Partners
DAB brings together five dedicated partners from across Europe:
- Cie Essevesse (France): A contemporary dance company leading social initiatives in Marseille.
- EUNI PARTNERS (Bulgaria): An NGO active in schools with cultural and social projects in Blagoevgrad.
- AICSCC (Romania): An association in Iași uniting psychologists and youth workers supporting young people with personal challenges.
- CEIPES (Italy): A European NGO based in Palermo, executing social projects in some of the city’s most underserved neighborhoods.
- The Smile of the Child (Greece): The country’s largest association dedicated to children’s welfare and their families.
