The international report of Move to Connect is now online!
Between 2024 and 2025, the Move to Connect partnership conducted a large-scale survey among 204 parents from France, Poland, Romania, and TĂŒrkiye, to better understand their daily challenges, emotional experiences, and support needs.
This international research explored key aspects of parenting today â from communication with children and emotional regulation, to digital life balance and self-care as a parent.
Across all four countries, similar themes emerged:
-
Parents experience moderate to high stress levels, especially around their childrenâs mental health and screen time management.
-
Many seek practical and flexible forms of support, focusing on emotional awareness, communication, and conflict management.
-
There is a strong need for safe spaces to share experiences and learn tools for wellbeing â not only for children, but for parents themselves.
đŹ As one participant shared:
âI wish I had known earlier how much patience and emotional balance parenting requires â and that growing up as a parent is a journey too.â
From research to action
Based on these findings, the Move to Connect team has designed a programme of five creative workshops, combining movement, expression, and dialogue.
These workshops aim to strengthen the parentâadolescent connection through body awareness, creativity, and emotional literacy.
In the coming months, 24 parents per country will participate in the pilot phase of these workshops, after which the programme will be refined and shared with professionals working in adult education, mental health, and family support.
