Hosted by the Gamma Institute in Iași, the project Act_no_ReAct! brought together organisations from six European countries around a common challenge: preventing and addressing bullying by training youth professionals through innovative expressive arts methods.

The core idea: using the power of artistic creation not only as a tool for awareness, but also as a lever for both individual and collective transformation.

A structured learning journey

Over the course of a week, participants engaged in different phases:

  • Understanding bullying: analysing its mechanisms, emotional dynamics, and roles within groups.
  • Exploring through art and expression: transforming emotions and building empathy through creative practices.
  • Positioning as facilitators: reflecting on one’s role and responsibilities in prevention and support.
  • Acting with young people: implementing practical workshops and Act_no_ReAct! labs in real settings.
  • Creating educational tools: collaboratively designing resources and kits adaptable to diverse educational contexts.
  • Evaluating and sharing: consolidating learning, envisioning future perspectives, and awarding the Youthpass certificate.

Impact and perspectives

The project led to:

  • The development of innovative educational approaches through art to address bullying.
  • Practical toolkits and reproducible methods for youth professionals.
  • A stronger international community of practitioners committed to safer and more inclusive learning environments.

Act_no_ReAct! shows that art can be a powerful driver of change, self-confidence, and solidarity.
