Compagnie Essevesse is seeking two professional dance artists who identify as trans and/or non-binary to participate in the annual event “Danses-en-Trans.“​

Date and Time: May 17, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM​

Location: HangArt, Town Hall of the 4th and 5th Arrondissements, Marseille​

About the Event: For the past five years, Compagnie Essevesse has organized “Danses-en-Trans,” an event aimed at raising awareness of issues related to trans identity and non-binarity through performing arts. The event features performances created by amateur participants in our workshops, showcases by invited trans/non-binary artists, and an open stage (with free registration) for any trans/NB individuals (amateur or professional) wishing to present a work in progress, an excerpt, or to speak on stage for the first time (5-10 minutes per person; all performing arts disciplines welcome).​

Eligibility Criteria for Invited Artists:

• Professional dance artists who are trans or non-binary​

• Solo performance of a minimum of 20 minutes and a maximum of 30 minutes​

• Simple technical requirements (a lighting effect co-constructed on the day of the event)​

• Fee: €300 including tax per artist (payment upon invoice; preferably through an association)​

• Must reside in Marseille​

Please note that no travel, meal, or accommodation expenses will be covered.​

Objective: To highlight trans/non-binary artists and raise public awareness of trans identity and non-binarity through performing arts.​
