HeArts of Youth is an Erasmus+ initiative that harnesses the transformative power of dance and art therapy to promote the social inclusion and emotional well-being of young migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers.
This project aims to equip youth workers with innovative, creative tools to support these vulnerable groups.
Project Objectives
- Enhance Youth Worker Competencies: Provide training in dance and art therapy techniques to professionals working with at-risk youth, focusing on fostering emotional resilience and social integration.
- Promote Social Inclusion: Utilize creative expression as a means to help young migrants navigate challenges and build connections within their communities.
Key Activities
- Development of Training Materials: Creation of a multilingual handbook and instructional videos detailing methodologies for implementing dance and art therapy in youth work.
- Workshops and Training Sessions: Conduct hands-on workshops across partner countries to train youth workers in applying these techniques effectively.
- Community of Practice: Establish a network for ongoing exchange among art therapists, dance therapists, and youth workers to share experiences and best practices.
Expected Results
- Methodology Review: Comprehensive collection and analysis of dance and art therapy methodologies tailored for supporting the social inclusion of migrant youth.
- Youth Worker Training: Implementation of mutual learning and training activities for 40 youth workers across partner organizations.
- Workshops for Young Migrants: Application of developed techniques in workshops involving 320 young migrants, facilitating feedback and refinement of training materials.
