On April 30th, in the heart of Catania at the renowned Scenario Pubblico, we had the immense pleasure of being hosted in residence and featured in the FIC Festival – Focolaio di Infezione Creativa.
This festival, directed by Roberto Zappalà and supported by Maria Inguscio, transforms the city into a vibrant hub of contemporary creation, blending dance, music, theatre, and visual arts.
For our choreographers Antonino Ceresia and Fabio Dolce, presenting their work in their homeland, Sicily, was a profoundly moving experience.
A heartfelt thank you to Roberto Zappalà, Maria Inguscio, and the exceptional team at Scenario Pubblico for their warm welcome, attention, and trust. Their support made this unforgettable moment, rich in emotions and artistic exchanges, possible.
A must-read: the sensitive and poetic article by Alessia Passeri (supervised by Sofia Bordieri and Marco Fichera) capturing the intensity of the evening:
Read the article
“… The two dancers, Antonino Ceresia and Fabio Dolce, burst onto the stage, immediately chasing each other through suspended balances, trusting each other. They flee to find each other again immediately, as if they never wanted to separate completely…
… They crawl towards the audience, like exhausted and vulnerable animals. Even the creature, at the centre, is stripped of everything. Only the essence remains: authentic and alive.”
Thank you to the audience, to Sicily, to dance, and to all that connects us.
