About TRANScenDANCE
TRANScenDANCE is an innovative project dedicated to promoting the inclusion of transgender and non-binary individuals within cultural spaces, whether they are professionals or enthusiasts.
A Project Committed to Inclusion and Diversity
TRANScenDANCE addresses the unique challenges faced by transgender and non-binary people on two key levels:
- Personal: Supporting individuals during their transition, a period often marked by emotional and physical challenges.
- Social: Tackling the discrimination they face within society.
Harnessing the Transformative Power of Dance and Movement
The project leverages the therapeutic and expressive potential of dance and movement to foster:
- Body acceptance
- Self-expression
- Emotional well-being
Through the training of educators and facilitators in inclusive practices, TRANScenDANCE creates safe and nurturing spaces where trans individuals can thrive and actively participate in the performing arts.

A Collaborative European Project
Funded by the ERASMUS+ program, TRANScenDANCE is coordinated by the Cie Essevesse and implemented in partnership with:

- GAMMA GENESIS (Romania)
- LaJoven (Spain)
Fabio Dolce and Antonino Ceresia are supported and accompanied by the Marseille-based Association Transat.

- The other three days: Location to be confirmed in Marseille
Recruitment Requirements
- Proficiency in English
- Identify as trans or gender non-conforming
- Work in the performing arts field (as an artist and/or artistic practitioner)
- Reside in Marseille
- Submit your CV along with a cover letter
Compensation
- €540 gross for the week (30 hours total, 6 hours/day)
- Meals and travel expenses are the responsibility of the artist

International Training on Performing Arts as a Tool for Inclusion
During this training program, trans and non-binary performing arts professionals from the five partner countries will come together to share their experiences and the tools they have developed to ensure safe and inclusive spaces for trans, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming individuals.
Objectives of These Activities
- Sharing and exchanging best practices
- Creating a training program with activities to be shared and implemented in each partner country, involving local trans and non-binary artists/practitioners
- Developing inclusive spaces
- Raising the visibility of the trans community within society
