Between 11 and 26 October 2025, Cie Essevesse hosted in Marseille the French national training of the TRANScenDANCE project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
Over five intensive days held at Studio Yoga Spirale and Studio Accrorap – Friche la Belle de Mai, 15 professionals from the performing arts, education, and social fields came together to explore inclusive, gender-aware, and body-based methodologies.
🌈 An inclusive and embodied framework
Led by Fabio Dolce and Antonino Ceresia (Cie Essevesse), the training combined artistic experimentation, somatic awareness, and reflective dialogue within a safe, co-created environment.
The process was rooted in horizontal learning, care, and creative research, following TRANScenDANCE’s values of diversity, openness, and embodied knowledge.
Invited facilitators:
Lee Ferrero (Transat Association, Marseille) – lecture on trans and non-binary identities, inclusive language, and self-determination.
Aude Fondard, non-binary artist and poet – workshop combining movement and writing to explore identity and expression.
Lou Pioupiou (Lou Laude de Francqueville) – session The Freak / The Strange Within Me, inviting participants to reclaim non-normativity through play and joy.

We formed a gender-diverse group of artists/facilitators — cisgender (women and men), trans, and non-binary participants — united by dance, theatre, and a shared commitment to building safer and more inclusive creative spaces.
These days have been a collective journey of exploration, expression, and transformation through the body.
💜 Thank you all for your trust, presence, and generosity.
